The relationship between the parish and the school is critical to the health of our community and I am delighted that Brandon will be sharing in that ministry.
Every day St. Stephen’s serves 252 students, over 50 staff and faculty, 25 afterschool students and their parents. We have the potential to touch to touch 600 lives every day with the love of God. As we nurture and attend to our Episcopal identity we will be nurturing the spiritual life of our broader community. Brandon will be leading worship in the school, building relationships with the staff and faculty, and lifting up the many ways that our school ministry is already sharing the Good News of God’s love.
This position will now be funded in part by the school and Brandon will be able to further grow his skills as a school leader. As you may know, Brandon’s former ministries involved chaplaincy in a variety of schools. He will bring that expertise to St. Stephen’s and he will be able to further develop his skills as a leader working with the capital campaign and school culture.
I am so thankful to have Brandon join me in leading St. Stephen’s spiritual life across our community.
I also wish to share the news that Brandon and Hillary are expecting the birth of their second child in November.
